APRIL VOLLEYBALL CLINIC AT ASTORIA

Three day indoors volleyball clinic at Astoria starts April 1st with classes for kids, teens and adults. $85 includes three classes

April 1st starts another indoors volleyball clinic at Astoria at Q501 Frank Sinatra School. Three days classes: 04/01, 04/22 and 04/29. Attention that on April 15th we have a free event!

This time we are coming up with one group of kids ages 7-10 years old, three different levels for teenagers and two levels for adults. Check it out:

KIDS 7-10 years old – this is a fun class that mixes up basic volleyball techniques with fun games and activities. Your child will learn how to play volleyball and have a great time! from 9:10am to 10:20am. Click here to register.

TEENS LEVEL 1 FUNDAMENTALS – for teenagers that are learning or are new to the sport. Day 1 – SERVICE CLINIC – how to serve over the net. Day 2 – PASSING AND SETTING CLINIC – when to use the platform or overhead setting. When to pass and when to set. Day 3 – SPIKING CLINIC – basic of net approach and spiking the volleyball. TEENS LEVELS 2 AND 3 TECHNIQUE IMPROVEMENT – for teenagers still trying to master basic volleyball skills: Day 1 – SERVICE CLINIC – how to serve over the net. Day 2 – SETTING CLINIC – how to set and where to set. Day 3 – SPIKING CLINIC – for those that need to learn better net approach, timing when jumping after the ball and spiking the volleyball. TEENS LEVEL 4 ADVANCE TECHNIQUE – for teenagers and adults that are more advanced at the sport. Please read details. Day 1 – SERVICE CLINIC – for players that already know how to do overhead service and get the ball over the net. We will teach different kinds of service: floater, topspin and jump service and serving locations. Day 2 – SETTING CLINIC – position breakdown when 5×1 and 4×2 rotations. Setting and dumping technique improvement. Day 3 – SPIKING – tempo (speed of the ball), power (how hard the ball is hit) and targeting (how the ball is directed). Practice starts at 1:30pm.
