Patience and persistence are fundamentals on anything you really wish to achieve in life. Putting this homeschool coop together wasn’t easy, but totally worthy!
One of the things I’m the most proud of in my whole life is being able to put a homeschool coop together for my son. Once the schools reopened from the lockdown last year, they were offering online services only. I was always very reluctant in allowing my little guy to stay in front of a screen. That definitely didn’t sit well.
I knew that a homeschool coop was the right way to go, as my son would be able to learn, and keep socializing with other kids. But I had no idea HOW to make it happen. So I put all my energy into it, not mattering how many times I had my heart broken apart for the mistakes I made, and for what other people did to me. That’s how you learn. That’s how you make it happen. As long as you don’t give up.
I have to be honest: it feels soooo good to not rely on the educational system anymore. My son’s homeschool coop is formed by four kids, being two at first grade, and two at 2nd grade. We hired an amazing tutor that has homeschooled her five kids, being the oldest 13 years old.
These kids are having semi private education, and I have been able to witness my son’s strengths, and weaknesses. Every child is different, and they are great in different ways. Some are really good with math. Others are really good with writing… At a small setting as the homeschool coop, communication between the teacher and the individual parent is easier, and both work together towards adjusting the child’s needs.
Why am I writing about this? Well, being able to put this homeschool coop together was really hard. It took me a year to find out the formula. But now it is flowing! Just because I NEVER GAVE UP. Many times I was crying on my knees, asking God to give me some light at a tunnel that I couldn’t see the other side,
Patience and persistence brought me there. To a better place than I ever expected.
I have no doubts this relates to anything in life. Anything that is really worthy. If you don’t give up, it will happen! It might hurt, it might feel impossible to reach. But the only thing in between failure, and success, is your decision of not giving up.
